Eagles prepping for play

The Goshen Eagles have been busy this summer preparing for what they hope is a very successful 2016 football season.
“We have had a good summer workout,” said Eagles head coach Bart Snyder. “The guys have been working really hard since June.”
Along with practice, the Eagles have also participated in 7-on-7 play. “The guys did extremely well with it,” Snyder said. “Overall we were really pleased with it, but we have a lot of areas that we need to work on.”
Goshen will open with a home match up with Ariton and for Snyder and the coaching staff, it’s never too early to begin preparing for an opponent.
“We started looking at the schedule and the things that we need to do,” Snyder said. “You never know what type of personnel they have move in and what we have move away. We kind of get an idea this time of year of what teams are going to try to do that way, when that week comes along, we can just pull that folder and go with it.”
Goshen plays Ariton at 7 p.m. on Aug. 26.
