Thirty-four kids performed for their parents at St Mark’s Episcopal Church Friday as the grand finale of the church’s Vacation Bible School. During the week, the children went to music, science, recreation, and arts and crafts sessions. The church also added in a drama portion of the VBS, bringing in a theatre student from Troy University to direct the kids. The Rev. Jeff Gibson said the VBS staff accomplished its three goals. “First, we wanted to keep the children safe,” he said. “We accomplished that. Second, we wanted the kids to have a good time, and I think they did. Finally, we wanted to teach them about God, and as you can see from their performance, I think we did that too.”
