SUBMITTED PHOTO For the past four years, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians (PBCI) has played a major role in the success of the youth livestock sector of the Southeastern Livestock Exposition. On Saturday, March 19, two young people from Pike County were awarded the 2016 Star Junior Cattlemen and Premier Exhibitor County awards. These two outstanding recipients are involved in or aspire to be part of the livestock industry and each received a $250 award to apply toward their livestock operation. The Pike County winners include Trent Thomas, Goshen, and Josh Graham, Brundidge. Attached is an image from the awards luncheon held in conjunction with the 2016 Junior Beef Expo in Montgomery.
