The Eagles gave up four runs in the top of the first but scored three runs in the bottom of the inning.
A Tessi Little double started the rally by scoring both Katilin Gamble and Kate Warrick. Lexi Ellisor singled to score Jada Hall, who was pinch running for Little.
The Eagles added a run in the third when Kati Thomas grounded out while scoring Carmen Kelley. They scored their final run in the top half of the fourth when Warrick scored on a ground out off the bat of Little.
Paxton was able to put together a late rally and score two runs to clinch the win.
Six different Eagles picked up a hit in the game: Calhoun, Kelly, Casey Allen, Warrick, Little and Ellisor.
The Eagles bounced back and picked up a 4-2 win over Andalusia.
Sydni Garrett earned the win for the Eagles, pitching five innings and allowing two runs on two hits. She struck out six batters while walking three.
The Eagles finished with just four hits in the game: Calhoun, Kelly, Allen and Garrett.
The Eagles scored their first run of the game in the bottom of the first when Allen doubled in Thomas.
Andalusia tied the game in the third inning on a steal home and came back in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead after the Eagles walked the lead off hitter, who eventually scored on a ground out after making it to third on a wild pitch and a past ball.
The Eagles had one more chance in the fifth inning as Kelley, Thomas and Allen all reached safely due to errors. Kelly scored the tying run during Allen’s at-bat and Garrett’s single scored both Thomas and Allen to win the game for the Eagles.
