Lady Trojans get the best of Trinity

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans received a great performance from their starter Emma Kirkpatrick and defeated Trinity 6-1 on Thursday night after the game was called in the seventh inning due to darkness.
Kirkpatrick pitched all six innings in the victory and allowed only one run on six hits while striking out five batters.
The Trojans received multi hit nights by both Kirkpatrick and Sidney Armstrong, who both picked up two hits on the night.
The Trojans scored in four of their seven innings at the plate and it started in the first inning.
Armstrong got the inning started with a single and was drove in on a double off the bat of Tucker Earles.
After Earles was pinch ran for by Grayson Adams, Rose Snyder singled her in for the second run of the game for the Trojans.
Both teams were held scoreless in the second before the Trojans tacked on a single run in both the third and the fourth innings.
Armstrong began the third inning with her second hit of the night with a single and after Earles reached base on an error, she scooted to third base. Armstrong came around to score on an error by the third baseman.
In the fourth, Kirpatrick singled in Hope Freeswick to put the Trojans up 4-0.
Trinity scored their lone run in the bottom half of the fourth inning before the Trojans scored their final two runs of the game in the top half of the sixth. The Trojans got the runs in on a single by Kirkpatrick to score both Lindsay Fox and Freewick.
Earles, Snyder, Fox and Freeswick all picked up one hit on the night for Charles Henderson.
The Trojans will return to action on March 15 when they host Rehobeth.
