“Hopefully all the parents and the community can come out and watch all of our players form grades seven through 12 play football Friday night,” varsity head coach Brad McCoy said.

The scrimmages will give players a chance to show what they intend to bring to the field in 2015.

For the younger players, they have the opportunity to strap it up and watch and listen to players at the next level play football.

“The young guys are going to be able to see and hear how the older guys get coached,” McCoy said. “They will be able to see how these older players are getting coached and what is being said to them by their position coaches and by myself. It is just another way for our young kids to learn what is expected of them on a particular game day.”

The younger players on the team will be able to experience all that comes with a typical Friday night. They will be put through pregame warm-ups, and be able to see a glimpse of the organization on the sidelines and what goes on during halftime.

“It’s just a way for all our kids to be together, I think it unifies our program and lets everybody play a part in us kicking off the season.”

“I hope that we have a lot of parents and people from the community come out and watch us,” McCoy said. “Our kids no matter if you’re in seventh grade or 12 grade your going to feed off that. I am excited about it, like I said to the coaches after practice, at the end of the day its just another way to get our guys out there and let them play football and enjoy themselves in a college stadium.”

The introduction of the football and cheerleading programs will begin at 7 p.m. followed immediately by a 90-minute scrimmage by the football teams.
