“It’s a great opportunity for families to come out and get to know our coaches here,” said Troy University Senior Associate Athletic Director and External Affairs Steve Stroud. “It’s an opportunity not offered by some of our larger competitors. It’s a family atmosphere, and you can come out and meet the family.”

Coaches scheduled to attend include new head football coach Neal Brown, men’s basketball head coach Phil Cunningham, women’s basketball head coach Chanda Rigby and baseball head coach Mark Smartt.

The event is open to the public and is free, and food will be provided. Chick-fil-A will provide dinner for guests.

“We want to make sure we have a big crowd for coach Neal and coach Smartt’s first Trojan Tour,” Stroud said. “We will make this one free, free food and free drinks, it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

Tonight kicks off the first of 10 events scheduled during an 11-night span.

Troy play-by-play announcer Barry McKnight will host the coaches panel, which will allow fans to ask questions to coaches in attendance.

“It really is a lot of fun we will end up going pretty late into the evening, and many folks really look forward to it,” Stroud said. “We should have 100-200 people, but it will be a great event, with Chick-fil-A providing the food, and allowing us to make it free, makes it that much more appealing.”
