Volunteers began installing the much-anticipated Miracle League Playground on Friday. Organizers expected an eight-hour day of labor working in shifts on Friday and are hoping for a large turnout to continue the build on Saturday. Volunteers are needed for small and large tasks and are asked to bring any tools, such as cordless drills, that can be used on the project. The playground is being build in front of the Troy Parks and Recreation Department and will provide a place for all the children of Pike County to play together. The playground will be wheelchair accessible.
