Robinson released from hospital

Troy quarterback Corey Robinson has been released from the hospital and will be under day-to-day evaluations according to Sports Information Director Adam Prendergast. Robinson suffered a head injury that he sustained in the waning seconds of the second quarter against Western Kentucky on Thursday night.

The injury occurred with 15 seconds left in the second quarter when Western Kentucky’s Bar’ee Boyd sandwiched Robinson against another WKU defender. The Troy QB attempted to get up but returned to the turf where he stayed until Troy trainers seated him in a golf cart and carried him off the field.

Robinson status for Troy’s Oct. 20 game with Florida International is uncertain.

HERE is the link to my late night post with head coach Larry Blakeney’s comment on the injury.
