Two suspects one armed with a pistol and one armed with a knife took an undisclosed amount of money after injuring the convenience store clerk.

"The clerk was injured and we believe she was struck in the head with the blunt end of the knife," Everage said.

She was transported by Haynes ambulance to Edge Regional Medical Center for treatment.

"No customers were in the store during the robbery," Everage said.

The suspects, who are both black males, fled on foot in the direction of the residential area behind the Amoco station.

It is unknown as to their direction of travel.

Detectives, who were called to the scene Wednesday night, continue to investigate the case.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or the Secret Witness Line at 566-5555.
