Mack Sporman, age 80, of Goshen, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Bethel Baptist Church in Glenwood with the Rev. W.O. Sanders and Bro. Jimmy Grier officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Goshen.  There will be a 30 minute lie in state at the church prior to the service Friday. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 5p.m. until 7 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.   Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jean Sporman of Goshen; sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney Douglas and Bonnie Sporman of York, SC. and Keith Sanders and Sandra Sporman of Hueytown; grandchildren, Rodney Eric Sporman, Stacey Elizabeth Sporman, Christopher Sean Sporman; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, W.O. and Irene Sanders of Goshen.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jay Adair, William Sanders, Jay Kyzar, Kevin Stewart, Ricky Grant and Keith Linton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons or to the Bethel Baptist Church in Glenwood.
