All is not lost for those who missed the Outdoor Festival Saturday at Cattleman Park. The Festival continues today

from 1 until 5 p.m. and everyone is invited to take advantage of this opportunity to see the many outdoor supplies and services available in the area.

Bruce Laviner, chairman of the Outdoor Festival committee, said he was pleased with the number of people who attended the Festival Saturday and is looking for big crowd this afternoon.

"I would have to say that the first day of our first Outdoor Festival was a success," Laviner said. "We had a good crowd, a continuous crowd, and everyone seemed to have a good time."

The entrance fee for the Outdoor Festival is a can of food which will be donated to the county food bank, but Laviner said even that will be waived this afternoon.

"We want everyone to come on out whether they have a can of food or not," he said. "This is a great show and we don’t want anyone to miss it.

"As you come in the door, be sure to pick up a ticket because we have a lot of great door prizes still left and we’ll be giving away at least two every hour. You have to be present to win, so come, look around and stay around."

The finals of the archery contest will be held in the arena from 1:30 until 2:30 and Laviner said the competition should be close. Everyone who enjoys a good shoot-out will want to make sure they are at Cattleman Park for the finals of the archery contest.

A lot of items for those who enjoy the outdoors are on sale. The Outdoor Festival is a great shopping place for those who buy early for Christmas.

The Festival is also a place to learn about services and supplies for the outdoorsman that are available in the area.

Snacks are available at the Festival and tables are set up for snacking and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Everyone is invited to come out and browse and visit with friends, Laviner said. "The Outdoor Festival is a great place to spend a Sunday afternoon."
