Good Morning and good Tuesday, as we line up for a new week at work and play, let's take a look back at some of the good things that happened in Pike County.

The Cattlemen's Association annual rodeo was a highlight of the Memorial Day weekend. There was fun for all and good competition to boot.

Also on Saturday, the Troy High School Class of 1948 gathered to share memories and fellowship. It was good to see old friends back together again.

Pike Liberal Arts School graduated 27 seniors Friday night. Congratulations to them for the hard work it takes to make through high school.

Banks Elementary's Accelerated Reader and Accelerated Math programs got a helping hand from Regions Bank president Kim Edwards Wednesday. That's a fine example of the public-private partnerships needed to keep our schools truly excellent.

Two Troy residents were appointed to a special board on juvenile justice and delinquency. Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage and Tennie Jarrell from Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Pike County can focus on helping children stay straight and on the right road.

Finally, congratulations to all 32 Colley Scholarship nominees, and to the winners Christy Sellers and Keon Simmons who were recognized at a banquet Tuesday hosted by the Civitans.
