Services for Louis Jones Corley, 90, of Troy who died Wednesday August 13, 2003 at Jackson Hospital will be at 11 a.m. Friday August 15, 2003 at

Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Ed. Walter officiating.

Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Friday August 15, 2003 at the funeral home.

Mr. Corley was a member of First Baptist for 80 years, member and former teacher of the Barraca Sunday School Class. Mr. Corley served in the Army and retired after serving in WWII and Korea as a Major and he later retired from the US Postal Service in Troy. He was a founding member of the Troy Country Club and remained an avid golfer until his death.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lorraine Roberts Corley of Troy; children, Kittie Corley (Tom) Williams of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, Louis Jones Corley, Jr. (Jane) of Troy and James Roberts (Sandra) Corley of Montgomery; grandchildren, Thomas Wayne (Lisa) Williams, Jr., Michael Corley (Sharla) Williams, Juli Corley (Shane) Hart, Louis Jones &uot;Jay&uot; (Michelle) Corley, III, Jeffrey Williams &uot;Jeff&uot; Corley, James Nicolas Polizos Corley and Calliope Lorraine Polizos Corley; great-grandchildren, Leah Marie Williams, Esme Elizabeth Williams, Sydney Ann Hart, Louis Jones Corley, IV and Abigail Patricia Williams.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Barraca Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church and the Synco Drugs Coffee Club.

The family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Troy Building Fund, Troy Public Library or your favorite charity.
