Wallace a star on and off the field

Jim Wallace is a star baseball player on the field and off the field his a star in his classes.

Wallace play's baseball for Charles Henderson High School and said he really loves the game.

"It's fun and really gives me something to work hard towards," he said. "I really like the challenge that comes with it and how exciting it can be."

Wallace is also a straight A student and he said it's not difficult to make those grades.

"It's not hard to make good grades," he said. "All I do is pay attention is class and do my homework."

Wallace is on the National Honor Society, Latin Club, 21service club and involved in First United Methodist Church. He said God is one thing he is passionate about.

"I am a Christian and I want to continue to grow in my relationship with God," he said. "I think it's good to involved with a church youth group and I know we have fun in ours."

Wallace has big goals for his future that he looks forward to accomplishing.

"One of my goals is to graduate make all A's throughout high school," he said. "Then I wan to go to Auburn and graduate with honors there."

Wallace hasn't decided what he wants to be when he grows up but he knows he want to make a positive impact on others."

"If I could, I'd like to make a difference in other people's lives," he said. "I want to set a example and be a role modal for others."

Wallace has mixed emotions about school starting back.

"I am excited about going back and seeing what my classes are like," he said. "But I'm not ready for the summer to end yet."

Wallace said his mom has been the most influential person in his life.

"She has taught me a lot of things about life and been always been there for me," he said. "The way she lives her life is an example to me and I try to take after her."

Wallace said his family means a lot to him and that he has always looked up to his older brothers.

"I have liked being the baby in the family," he said. "My parents were really easy going on me because my brothers never got into trouble and were always pretty good."

Wallace is looking forward to his bright future and all that it holds, he said he can't wait to see what God has in store.
