Dorothy Huggins Jinright, 77, of Troy, died at Troy Regional Medical Center, Tuesday, September 5, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, September 8, 2006 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM.

The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Friday, September 8, 2006 at 2:30 PM with Dr. Ed Walter and Reverend Otis Derrah officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The family request that memorials be made to your favorite charity. The pallbearers will be her nephews. She is survived by, Daughters and son-in-law, Ann and Dan Marcum of Troy and Jennifer Jinright of Troy, Son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Amy Jinright of Troy, Grandchildren, Jay (Kelly) Marcum, Andrew Marcum, and Christopher Marcum, Great grandchild, Lauren Marcum, Sisters, Louise McDuffie of Perdido, Alabama, June Waites of Enterprise, and Deborah Huggins of Troy, Uncle, John J. Hattaway of Montgomery, Aunt, Jane Redfearn of Livingston, Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Jinright, parents, William Andrew and Annie Laura Huggins and a granddaughter, Anna Laura Marcum

Rachel Youngblood Hawkins, 68, died at her residence Sunday, September 10, 2006. Funeral Services will be held

Tuesday, September 12, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. from the First Baptist Church in Troy with Dr. Ed Walter officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. There will be a one hour lie in state prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Alla Youngblood. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Doug Hawkins, Two Daughters, Martha Lynn

Mrs. Hawkins was a 1955 graduate of Lanier High School in Montgomery and a 1959 graduate of Auburn University with a degree in

Accounting. While at Auburn she was affiliated with Chi Omega Sorority, was selected as a Rose of Pi Kappa Phi and was featured as a favorite in the Glomerate yearbook.

An active member of First Baptist Church, Mrs Hawkins taught Sunday School for 27 years.

Recently she taught

the Mildred Singleton Sunday School class.

Mrs. Hawkins worked with the Twilighters

as sponsor for about twenty years.

She was also instrumental in the foundation of the Chi Omega Sorority at Troy State University in 1976.

She served as chapter Advisor for 22 years.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Ash, Gilbert Sellers, Allen C. Jones, Kenny Cox, Benny Scarbrough, and Duane Webb.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Mildred Singleton Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2006 from 5:00 until 8:00 at

Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mary Gertrude Jordan

Services for Mary Gertrude Jordan, 68, of Highland Home who died Monday, September 11, 2006 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Grace Baptist Temple in Highland Home with Minister, Colis Wright officiating.

She will lie-in-state from 1 p.m until 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 12 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jordan was born February 8, 1938 in Pike County. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jackson Burgans and Annie Lee Edwards Burgans and 2 brothers, Johnny Burgans and Paul Petty.

Survivors include 2 sons, Thomas Champion of Highland Home and George Goodson of Panama City, Florida; daughter, Sue Miller of Highland Home; 6 grandchildren, T. J. Champion, Alicia Clampit, Michael Miller, Cory Champion, Areanna Champion and Shawn Ditto; 4 sisters, Olene Tillery of Troy, Ruth Pace of Ramer, Lonie Sanders of Hartsell and Mae Thomas of Colorado; 2 brothers, Collis Wright of Highland Home and Bill Petty of Rodkford; special niece, Teresa Talley of Rutledge; special nephew, Terry Burgans; special friend, Dana Ditto from Highland Home and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Miller, Michael Miller, Keith Clampit, Thomas Champion, T.J. Champion and Shawn Ditto.
