Hadley Grace May

Hadley Grace May, born Oct. 19, 2003, earned her angel wings and harp Dec. 7, 2006, after a three-year courageous battle with cancer.

She touched many lives in her short life with her compassion and love for others.

She had wisdom and humor beyond her years and was the light of her parents' lives.

She will forever be loved and missed.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Mike Alsup officiating. Burial will follow at Ramah Cemetery.

Visitation was held Saturday night at the funeral home.

She is survived by her parents, Tony and Ryann May of Banks; grandparents, Robert and Ann Dunn (Pop and MawMaw) of Banks, Kenny and Kim May (Grumpy and Nanny) of Troy, and Lee and Kathy Pennington (Base and Oma) of Natchitoches, La.; uncles and aunts, Matt and Melissa Dunn of Auburn, and Tommy and Amanda May of Troy; cousins, Will and Jacob May of Troy; and several beloved pets.

Pallbearers will be Tommy May, Matt Dunn, Jared Sanders, Jerry Jinright, Harry Sanders and Jimmy Sanders.

The family requests that memorials be made to UAB Pediatrics Division of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, 1600 7th Ave. South, ACC 512, Birmingham, AL 35233, Attention: Brenda Johes, Dr. Howard.

Frances Dunn James

Funeral services for Frances Dunn James, 58, of Enterprise, who died Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Medical Center Enterprise, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home with the Revs. Ron Ball and Dean Moore officiating.

Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Patterson-Sorrells Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. James was born March 29, 1948, in Troy to the late Victor Thomas Dunn and Katie Belle Owens Dunn.

She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church in Enterprise.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Rex James Jr. of Enterprise; two daughters, Angie James Parker (Stephen) of Enterprise and Julie James Cook (Kevin) of Dothan; two brothers, Jerry Thomas Dunn of Cedar Bluff and Kenneth Walter Dunn of Troy; three sisters, Jean Dunn Roebuck and Mary Dunn Holt, both of Enterprise, and Alice Dunn Phillips of Troy; four grandchildren, Katie Renee Lapham and Stephanie Elizabeth Lapham, both of Dothan, and Jessica Niclole Parker and Christopher Stephen Parker, both of Enterprise; and several nieces and nephews.
