Park Memorial United Methodist Church is inviting all students, from preschool to college, to bring their backpacks or a token of their studies for Park Memorial’s Blessing of the Backpacks from 6 until 7 p.m. Monday, September 14.

Teachers and administrative staff member are also invited share in the blessings for the 2020-2021 school year.

The Blessings of the Backpacks is a contactless, drive-thru event.

Those who participate are asked to place the items to be blessed in the trunk of their cars, drive to a parking space and pop the truck. A representative of the church will come and pray blessings over the remainder of the school year.

Park Memorial United Methodist Church is located at 750 Elba Highway in Troy.
