Brundidge police are investigating the death of a missing person after his body was discovered Wednesday evening.

Brundidge Police Chief Moses Davenport said children who were on their way the city recreation park found the body near the standing wall of a historic structure. They reported their findings to the police department and officers responded.

Davenport said the body has been identified; however, the name is not being released at this time. The man was reported missing on Monday.

The incident is under investigation by the Brundidge Police Department.
