Two women were arrested Tuesday night after the vehicle they were in ran out gas on U.S. Highway 231.

Troy police chief Randall Barr said officers responded to the vehicle when they saw that it was stopped in the roadway.

“The driver of the truck, Dezarae Wiggins, advised officers that her truck had ran out of gas,” Barr said. “As officers were preparing to push the vehicle out of the roadway dispatch advised them that the vehicle was stolen out of Montgomery.”
