Who you gonna dunk?

A dunkin’ booth affords a lot of fun for those tossing the balls. However, those on the “hot seat” cringe with each ball thrown at the target. Hit the bull’s eye and the dunkee will hit the water sending shouts of glee from the observers.

Camille Downing, Pike Regional Child Advocacy Center, director, said she expects to hear a lot of splashes and a lot of laughter at the Center’s Family Fun Day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.  today at the Troy Recreation Center.

“The dunkin’ booth will be a busy place with a lot of celebrities in the dunkin’ booth,” Downing said. “Troy Fire Chief Michael Stephens, Pike County Probate Judge Wes Allen, Troy City Council Member Dejerlyn Henderson and Pike County Commissioner Robin Sullivan will all be on the hot seat.”

Greg Lee, Probation and Parole Senior for Pike County has also volunteered as a dunkee along with a deputy from the Pike County Sheriff’s Department who will be “volunteered.”

Downing and Carrie Manning will be coaxed on the dunkin’ seat along with a Kappa Delta dunkee, Katelyn Lipscomb.

In addition to the dunkin’ booth, there will be games and contests. The Santa Fe Catering Wagon will be on site. And, Sponge Bob and Doc McStuffins will be on the grounds.

Families are invited to come out and enjoy all the fun of Family Fun Day hosted by the local CAC.
