A Troy man was charged Friday with possession of marijuana, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Lt. Bryan Weed with the Troy Police Department said officers arrested 36-year-old Aaron Darkstar after executing a search warrant at his residence in the 100 block of Gamble Street.

“At approximately 10 a.m., our narcotics officers received information and were able to develop enough probable cause to be granted a search warrant at which time the emergency response team executed the warrant at the residence,” Weed said.

During the course of the search, officers located marijuana inside Darkstar’s residence along with cocaine.

“During the search, the drug task force located an amount of marijuana consistent with personal use and cocaine, which was the controlled substance they found,” Weed said. “They also found drug paraphernalia inside the residence.”

Darkstar was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was being held in the Pike County Jail on a $9,500 bond.
