Mr. Johnny Fox “Bud” Ellis age 71 of Brundidge died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at his home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church with Reverends Ashley Faulk, Shirlie Ellis, Calvin Faircloth, Greg Atkins and Hollis Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. There will also be a one hour lie-in-state at the church prior to the service.

He is survived by his wife Bennie Ruth Ellis, his children Martha Jo Ellis, Jimmy (Vanessa) Ellis, Joyce (Paul Mack) Ellis, Royce (Ginger) Ellis, Vicki (Henry) Wentland, Darlene (Tony) Bradley, Allen (Twyler) Ellis, and Wade (Kaye) Ellis, 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, his sisters Merle Jones, Mary Lou (Ray) Sanders, Annette Carr and Betty (Rex) Grissette.

He was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey, and 5 brothers Bill, Ralph, Ray, Roy and Gilmer.
