Chance, Emma Ruth Pritchett, 91, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at her home in Bullock County. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from Mt. Hilliard United Methodist Church with Rev. Pat McWhorter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Chance was born May 27, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband: James Otha Chance, parents: Joe Green Pritchett and Addie Ruth Braswell Pritchett, brother: Joe Gordon Pritchett and sister: Bessie Kate Pritchett Bickley. She was a loving mother and grandmother and devoted to her large family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James (Jimmy) and Debbie Chance of Troy, AL; daughter and son-in-law: Glenda and Tim Lunsford, Troy, AL; grandchildren: Thomas (Nicole) Wilson of Laurel, MD, Christy Chance of Troy, AL, Cathy (Mike) Lott of Troy, AL, Craig (Mary) Lunsford, Raleigh, NC, James (Stephanie) Lunsford of Cartersville, GA; 10 great-grandchildren: Beth Rhodes, Randi Lott, Anna Lott, Savannah Swain, Emma Lunsford, Camden Lunsford, Jacob Lunsford, Cera Lunsford, Ezra Lunsford, and Sam Lunsford; sisters: Sybil Pritchett Rotton and Mae Pritchett Lawson; many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Frank Rotton, Billy Rotton, Larry Bickley, Ken Chance, Steve Chance, and Dwight Pritchett.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time Wednesday.
