John William Sessions, age 71, Enterprise, AL, passed away, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Bruce and Rev. Phil Cooley officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 4015 Hwy. 27 South, Enterprise, AL 36330 or to a charity of your choice.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Alene Sessions and a brother, Jimmy Sessions.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Schaeffer Sessions, Enterprise, AL; daughters, Leigh (Kenneth) Waters, Brewton, AL; Jennifer (Jack) Hartzog, Echo, AL; Mary (Ron) Reeves, Dothan, AL; sisters, Sally Law (Mef), Chancellor, AL; Sue Cobb, Dothan, AL; seven grandchildren, Will Waters, Emily Waters, Jessica Davis, Lexy Davis, Alec Reeves, Harrison Reeves, and Mary Grace Reeves; two great-grandchildren, Charleigh O’Dell and Adeline Babb; two sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Joe) Talmadge Enterprise, AL; Carol (Don) Reddoch, Troy, AL; special friend and caregiver, Debbie Williams.
