Mr. Ronnie Earl Ivey, age 52, a lifelong resident of Clio, departed from this life on Tuesday morning, June 17, 2014. at Dale County Hospital in Ozark. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2014 at the Clio Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Adams and Rev. Curtis Rich will officiate. Interment will follow in the Elam Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Fred Bacher officiating and Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Keahey Funeral Home of Clio. Mr. Ivey was born August 11, 1961 in Dale County Alabama to Patricia Herring Ivey and the late Kenneth Earl Ivey. He was a member of Clio Baptist Church. He owned and operated Ivey Body Shop in Clio for 35 years. He loved his family, friends, and community. He currently served on the Clio City Council for 6 years. He was an avid Alabama fan. Ronnie was a humble, kindhearted, witty, loveable, greatly respected man who always had a willing hand to help others. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and community. In addition to his father, Kenneth Earl Ivey, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amerine C. and Emma Hornsby Ivey, Willie F. Herring, Step grandfather, Herbert H. Renz and uncle, Johnny C. Ivey. Survivors include: mother, Pat Ivey of Clio; sons: Joshua Judah Ivey , Ronnie Justin Ivey; step children. Austin (Kacie) Tillis, Ashton Tillis; granddaughters, An-naleigh Michelle Ivey, step granddaughter, Caysen Til-lis; brother, Kenneth Chad (Kathleen) Ivey; sister, Beverly Ivey Clark (Greg Motes); grandmother, Hilda Brannon Renz; nephews: Joseph Dove, Christopher Ivey, Christian Patrick Clark; niece, Ivy Cathleen Clark.
