Mrs. Margaret Daniels, age 49, of Troy, AL died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013 in Montgomery. There are so many words that could describe Margaret Jo Daniels but the word at the top of the long list is strong. This woman was a rock and the backbone of her family. She opened her home, her table and her whole heart to anyone and everyone that needed her. Margaret made sure everyone had a joyful smile and a full belly. She was a loving wife to her husband Kenneth Daniels of Troy; a wonderful mother to her two daughters, Megan Daniels and Arianna Daniels, both of Troy; a doting grandmother to her two grandchildren, Jaliyah Curry, Troy and Ethan Daniels, arriving at the first of the year; and a caring friend to everyone. She was the daughter of Nellie Jo Lee Kilgore, of Troy and the late Billy Ray Dease. Other survivors include her brother: Terry Jordan, Tallassee, AL; sisters: Billie Sue (Les) Richburg, Troy, Kathy (Neal) Senn, Eufaula and Janet Roper, Ozark; mother-in-law: Mary Williams, Troy; sister-in-law: Melissa Harrod, Gulf Shores, AL; and best friend: Cathy Williams, Colorado Springs, CO. Other than her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents: J. C. and Sally Mae Lee, Edgar and Willie Mae Dease; a brother Rickey Dease; and a sister: Donna Jones. She was a feisty and brave woman, proud yet humble, strong but softhearted, wise as well as beautiful. She has been a beacon of light and hope in the darkest of times, putting everyone above herself. She will always be loved by many and forgotten by none. A celebration of Mrs. Daniels’ life will be held Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Bo Weed officiating. Skeen Funeral Home of Troy will be directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13) Skeen Funeral Home of Troy in charge of arrangements.
