James “Jim” Drinkard age 53 of Troy died Saturday, July 27, 2013 at his home. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 5:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Troy with Dr. Luke Lane officiating. Burial followed in Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing. Visitation was held at the Church from 3:00 until 5:00 on Sunday. He is survived by his wife Martha Lynn Hawkins Drinkard, sons and daughters-in-law Rob and Morgan Hooper Drinkard, Hawkins and Amy Cole Drinkard, his parents Robert and Jimmie Drinkard, a sister Mary Anderson, a brother and sister-in-law Bobby and Sherie Drinkard, nieces and nephews Molly and David Jones, Casey and Kristin Anderson, Bobby Jon and Hayley Drinkard, Will and Amy Reeves Drinkard. Father-in-law Doug (Dean) Hawkins, Sister-in-law Holly and Greg Anderson, Brother-in-law Robert and Melanie Hawkins, nieces and nephews Dean Anderson, Rachael and Ale Winkie, Alla Anderson, Douglas Hawkins, Mary Kane Hawkins and Haley Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his Mother-in-law Rachel Hawkins. Active pallbearers were Dean Anderson, Douglas Hawkins, Casey Anderson, Will Drinkard, Bobby Jon Drinkard and Cody Ash. His coworkers and Sanders Truck Lines served as Honorary Pallbearers. The Family requests memorial contributions be made through a church to assist families with expenses incurred from medical expenses or extended illness. The memorials may be made to your home church or to the First Baptist Church of Troy.
