Troy Police are looking for the person or people who burglarized Troy Elementary School Wednesday night.

Officers responded to the school about 7:45 a.m. to investigate a reported burglary. They found several windows at the back of the school were broken and someone had entered the building, according to Troy Police.

Detectives and the department’s crime scene technician processed the scene and found that several offices had been entered and there was damage to vending machines.

Police believe the break-in happened between 6 and 7:45 p.m. Wednesday.

“We’ve got it on video and we’ve already turned that over to police,” said Troy City Schools Superintendent Lee Hicks.

Hicks said no computers or televisions were taken. A couple of items from a vending machine and three juice boxes out of a six-pack were all that seemed to be missing Thursday.

“Unfortunately, this is something that occurs during the summertime because people believe no one will be at the schools,” Hicks said.
