Irene Johnson Willis, age 81 of Brundidge passed away, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at her daughter, Pam Dunn’s home in the Needmore Community. Visitation will be held, Friday, February 8, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 at the funeral home. Services will be 10:30 Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Salem Baptist Church with the Reverend Chad Manion officiating. Robert Woohham will give an eulogy during the service. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Irene was born May 18, 1931, the daughter of the late Arthur and Della Mobley. She was preceded in death by her husbands Jack Johnson and Bobby Willis, a sister, Grace Mitchell and her brother, Roy Mobley.

Survivors: Daughter, Pam Dunn and her son-in-law Richard; Grandson, Whit Dunn; Granddaughters, Brooke Murphy and her husband Walter and Roxanne Parrish and her husband Ashton; Great grand children: Marlee Tunstill, Christopher Parrish, Lane Murphy, Tate Parrish and Elizabeth Ann Murphy; Sister-in-law, Geraldine Mobley Hayes; Several nieces and nephews. Ms Irene was employed with Reigel Gloves from 1954 to 1961 and Fruit of the Loom Shirt Factory from 1962-1996. She was Senior Director of the RE Barr Nutrition Center from April of 2001 to April 2011.

Pallbearers: Wallace Mobley, Judge Robert W. Barr, Whit Dunn, Walter Murphy, Ashton Parrish and Christopher Parrish.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the ladies French Sunday School Class of Salem Baptist Church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to the Johnston Parlor of Salem Baptist Church, The Brundidge Library, The Brundidge Senior Center or a charity of your choice.
