Three former Troy players participated in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery on Saturday.

Wide receiver Chip Reeves, linebacker Kanorris Davis and offensive lineman Kyle Wilborn all displayed their talents for professional scouts for a week.

Reeves was unable to play for Stripes team after tweaking his hamstring late in the week.

Wilborn turned in a solid performance at center for the Stars while Davis led the Stripes in tackles with seven, five solo, for the game.

Wilborn, who’s Stars team lost the game, 31-3, said it was a great experience and one that he is very grateful for.

“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to come here. I’ve met so many great people and had a great time,” Wilborn said.

Wilborn, not to be out done by his defensive counterpart, Davis, did get in the stat book with a tackle after an interception by Stars quarterback Tino Sunseri.

Though Wilborn and Davis lined up on opposite sides of the football for different teams. The Trojan duo didn’t get a chance to come in contact with one another as Davis was positioned outside of the offensive tackle for most of the game.

Wilborn said the week was a great learning experience. It took some extra effort for Wilborn to learn the pro-style terminology. The most difficult part, however, was learning how to slow down.

Troy, who runs a variation of the air raid offense, rarely huddles after a play. Wilborn said he caught himself rushing to the ball several time and had to be told to form a huddle first.

“It has definitely a learning experience. That was one of the biggest adjustments, learning how to slow down,” Wilborn said.

Wilborn laughingly said after some thought that the last time he huddled two play in a row was in 2008.
