Lige Hester a resident of Troy, AL passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in Montgomery County, AL. He was 65. Graveside services for Lige Hester will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating and Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation for Lige Hester will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. Mr. Hester was born October 5, 1947 in Troy, AL son of the late Lige Hester and Lucille Kilpatrick Hester. Mr. Hester was well liked and loved. He truly cared about people, Lige expressed his love thru his music and his kindness. He worked as a security guard at the Pike County Courthouse for the last 4 years and he loved his job. He is survived by his wife: Tommie Taylor Hester, Troy; uncle and aunt: Gary (Georgia) Kilpatrick, Troy; cousins: Ed Hester, Jerry (Juanita) Wilkes, Shirley (Alphus) Adams all of Troy. Serving as pallbearers will be the Troy Police, Pike County Sheriffs Deputies and Court House Security Guards.
