Services for Robert Lee McKinnon, 80, of Troy who died October 28, 2010 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation was at 11 a.m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Flowers officiating.

Burial was in Carroll Street Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was Sunday, October 31, 2010 from 4-5 p.m.

Mr. McKinnon was born November 19, 1929 in Pike County. He attended Meadow Grove Church. He was a person of peace and loved his family and his family loved him. He was a person who was content with life and never complained about anything.

Mr. McKinnon was a loving soul, always sharing a smile with others. It was a smile we will never forget. If he ever knew you, he remembered you. No handicap was a reason for a complaint from him. His spirit was of total peace and he will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orange McKinnon and Julia Ann Jackson as well as his second mother, Lillie Mae Rollins; brothers, Roosevelt McKinnon and Willie Frank McKinnon all of Troy.

Survivors include his sister, Rosa Lee McKinnon; niece, Lillian Rose Mary Rollins; great-niece, Juatisha Quanvette Rollins and two great-great-nephews, Santiago Cerchez Rollins and Carlito Mecias Rollins all of Troy.
