O-Zone eliminated

After taking out Slocomb on Saturday night, the Troy Dixie Youth O-Zone team looked to avoid elimination for a second straight game Monday night against Enterprise.

However, it was not to be.

Two big Enterprise innings was all it needed to take out Troy, as the visiting team was sent packing, 12-6.

Things got off to a good start for Troy through, thanks to a Nick Lewis leadoff home run.

Troy would jump out to a 4-0 lead through four innings, but Enterprise took control in the bottom of the fourth inning to the tune of five runs and never looked back.

In the very next inning, Enterprise scored seven more runs, and in the process, taking a commanding lead.

On the mound for Troy to start the game, was Cole Wilson, who had been one of the most dependable starters for the team throughout the tournament.

In four innings, Wilson gave up five earned runs, while striking out two.

Coleby Roberts, Drew Starling and Jerrell Lawson came in in relief of Wilson and gave up a combined seven runs.

At the plate, eight different Troy players were able to get hits.

Lewis, Lawson, Wilson, DeAndre Pitts, Starling, Roberts, Hayes Lee and Cody Henderson all hit safely in the game.
