Myrtle Campbell

Myrtle Louise Foster Campbell, 81, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, died in her home on Sunday, January 18, 2009. 
Myrtle was a native of Crenshaw County and also lived in Troy and in Andalusia.
 Myrtle was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend. 
She enjoyed flowers, and her gardening brought joy to those around her. 
She was a faithful member of the Esther Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church. 
Myrtle also enjoyed painting, bowling with the Eager Beaver Bowling Team and playing bunco with her “Bunco Buddies.”
She was a volunteer for Wiregrass Hospice.
 Services will be held at Byrd Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 21, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy at 2:00 p.m.
Dr. Ed Wright will be officiating. 
Visitation will be at Byrd Funeral Home Tuesday night, January 20, from 6:00 until 8:00.
 Pallbearers will be Cliff Bowden, Mike Bowden, Leslie Foster, William Petrey, Lee Wesson, and Sam Wesson. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Turner, the Esther Sunday School Class and her Bunco Buddies.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Ora Velma Turner Foster, her brother Hugh Turner Foster, and her husband David Eugene Campbell. 
 She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Campbell Head (Bobby) and Judy Campbell Wesson (Randy), one son, David E. Campbell, Jr. (Joanne), and five grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Wesson, Kathryn Elizabeth Campbell, Emily Claire Campbell, Samuel David Wesson, and Lee Campbell Wesson.
 Her family wishes to thank the many friends who sent cards and food and visited Myrtle during her illness. 
A special thanks to Wiregrass Hospice for their compassion and care.
