Willie S. Smith, age 97 a resident of Jack, AL died Saturday, June 20, 2009. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Bishop Herman Smith and Reverend Martha Baxter officiating. Interment followed in Center Ridge Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation was held Monday, June 22, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Herman Smith of Orlando, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jean and Will Helton of Kingsland, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Remonia Smith of Troy; grandchildren, Mike Smith, Regina Dains, Rodger Helton, Matt Moorman, Sara Lynn Moorman, Rhonda Smith Barnes; 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Thelma Grissett and Dessie Spinks; brother and sister-in-law, James and Martha Senn; sister-in-law, Arretta Senn.Serving as pallbearers were Rustin Barnes, Rex Barnes, Doyle Senn, Michael Dains, Earny Ray Keel, Lloyd Senn.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death be her husband Grover C. Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Sara Lou and Earnest Moorman; son and daughter-in-law, Homer C. and Mary Jane Smith; 2 grandsons, Ronnie Smith and Mark Mooman, 2 great-grandchildren, Ben Smith and Rance Barnes; brothers, Lee Roy Senn, Curtis Senn, Notice Senn and Nolley Senn; sisters Margaret Johnson, Neodley Laster, Modie Hill and Mary Lou Smith.
