Christopher Clarke Patterson, age 32, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at Columbus Regional Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia.
Funeral services for Mr. Patterson will be Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel in Troy.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Graveside services will be Tuesday afternoon at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
Mr. Patterson received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from Troy University in Troy, Alabama, where he was also a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity.
He worked as an academic advisor and teacher at Chattahoochee Valley Community College and was a member of the Rivertown Adventure Club of Columbus.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his father and mother, Dr. Douglas Clarke Patterson and Mrs. Lise Heinrich Patterson, and two sisters, Lauren Lizbeth Patterson and Natalie Anne Patterson, all of Troy, Alabama.
A memorial service honoring Mr. Patterson will be Friday, December 4, 2009, at 11 a.m. eastern standard time in Wilson Hall at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Chris Patterson student support fund at Chattahoochee Valley Community College.
The funeral is being directed by Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama.
