April Denise Jackson

April Denise Jackson, age 22, of Montgomery Street in Troy, passed away early Friday morning, June 22, 2012, in Montgomery, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Ms. Jackson was born in Findlay, OH and had been a resident of Troy for the past 4 years, coming from Brewton. She was a 2007 graduate of W.S. Neal High School and attended Jefferson Davis Community College and then Troy University, where she was a member of TAU BETA SIGMA. She served as a Specialist with the Army Reserve in Dothan from 2009 until her death. She worked as a bank teller for BB&T, and was of the Baptist faith.

Ms. Jackson was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Derry Chavers of Brewton, and paternal grandmother, Florence Jackson of Mobile.

She is survived by her parents, Claude Jackson, Jr. and Helen Chavers Jackson of Brewton; grandmother, Wilma Chavers of Brewton; and grandfather, Claude Jackson, Sr. of Findlay, OH; two brothers, Zack Chavers of Brewton, and Ron Jackson of Columbus, OH; five sisters, Cheyenne Jackson of Brewton, Claudia Jackson of North Carolina, Charmain Jackson of Columbus, OH, Chasandra Jackson of Findlay, OH, and Niesey Howze of Wiggins, MS.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver’s Funeral Home with Rev. Russ McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Weaver Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Craver’s Funeral Home on Tuesday from noon until service time at 2 p.m.
