Ireta Johnson Turvin, age 81 of Bartow, FL went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2010 in Tampa FL due to head trauma.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Haw Hill Assembly of God Church with the Reverend Shirlie Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2010 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Haw Hill Assembly of God Church.
She was born December 25, 1928 in Houston County, AL. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband Fletcher Turvin of Bartow, FL, parents Alto and Mary Etta Johnson of Jack, AL and 3 sisters Iron Johnson, Inez Gilley and Ithera Erier of AL.
She is survived by 9 children: Lomax Turvin of Bartow, Patsy Watts of Waiverly, Charles Turvin of Fort Meade, Ray Turvin of Lakeland, Allen Turvin of Bartow, Martha Haddon of Bartow, Patricia Kincaid of Bartow, Mary Marcaccio of Lakeland, Roger Turvin of Winter Haven, 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and sisters Irene Mehaffey Ilene Arnold, Ione Nolin of AL and Ivela Marshall of PA.
Flowers may be sent to the Hall Hill Assembly of God on Hwy 125.
