Country came to town and left with the championship

The Post 70 16U team traveled to Carrolton Georgia over the weekend to claim the Perfect Game Southeast Regional tournament championship over the Atlanta Angels by a score of 11 to 3.
Coach Steve Whitaker commented, “Our team motto is #NoDivas. These dudes work . They don’t think they’re superstars, just a bunch of hard workers.”
The local connection on the 16U Post 70 squad are from CHHS: Chase Vaznaian, Will Watkins, Trent Bryan and Wes Templin. From Pike Lib its Garrett Whitaker, Weston Garrett and Jack Baggett.
Vaznaian went 1 for 3 at the plate, Whitaker and Templin both went 1 for 2, Templin also had an RBI. Baggett doubled and knocked in 3 runs.
Kane Shellhouse was named tournament MVP and Blayne Wood was named pitching MVP.
