TPD investigating two shooting incidents

The Troy Police Department is investigating two unrelated shooting incidents that occurred on Thursday night.

The TPD responded to a shots fired call at McDonalds on U.S. Highway 231 N. around 11:25 p.m. When officers arrived, they found two female victims with gunshot wounds. One was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center and the other to a Montgomery hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

According to the TPD, a 17-year-old male was charged with discharging a firearm in the city limits and reckless endangerment. Anthony Jackson, 20, was charged with second-degree assault.

The TPD responded to an unrelated incident around 2:23 a.m. in the 400 block of Aster Circle. When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old woman dead.

Investigations in both incidents are ongoing. The investigation is being assisted by the Pike County District Attorney’s Office.
