Baleage Field Day is set for April 11

Cool Season Forages Baleage Field Day is set for April 11 at the Tarentum Community Center at 1677 Alabama Highway 125 south of Brundidge.

Registration will be from 8:30 until 9 a.m. with the welcome and introductions by Rickey Hudson and Mike Chirico.

The agenda for the meeting is: 9:15-9:45 a.m. is Quality Baleage Production, Dr. Leanne Dillard; 9:45-10:15- a.m. Forage Species Selection, Henry Jordan.

There will be a 15-minute break beginning at 10:15 a.m.

Following the break the meeting will resume at 10:30 a.m. with Baleage Nutrition & Feeding, Peyton Zessin; 11: a.m. until noon, Baleage Harvest Demonstration, Mike Chirico; noon until 12:30 p.m. lunch hosted by Southern SARE & USDA NIFA, and 12:30 p.m.-1 p.m. Evaluations and adjourn.

Field Day is free. Those who plan to attend are asked to respond to Rickey Hudson, 334-726-6814 by April 9 to reserve lunch.
