Brundidge Council to discuss human trafficking

The Brundidge City Council met Tuesday at Brundidge City Hall to consider all matters before the members.

Present for the first meeting of the New Year were Margaret Ross, District 3; Byron Gaynor, District 4 and Marilyn Rodgers, District 5. Doug Hollard, District 1 and Laticia Rodgers, District 2, were absent.

Following approval of the minutes for December 29, 2023, Council Member Rodgers moved to approve the annual. Rebuild Alabama Act report as presented by Mayor Isabell Boyd. All voted yes.

Mayor Boyd presented a “Human Trafficking Awareness Proclamation” to the council and expressed the importance of the human trafficking issue in Brundidge as it is nationwide.

The Brundidge City Council meets at 6 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at Brundidge City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
