Number of Trojans enter the Transfer Portal

Following Troy’s appearance in the Birmingham Bowl this past weekend, a number of Troy football players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.  

While a few Troy players entered the portal following the Sun Belt Championship, more than a dozen have now made the decision to transfer from Troy University. These players include starting inside linebacker – and leading tackler – Jayden McDonald, All-Sun Belt receiver Jabre Barber, All-Sun Belt spear Caleb Ransaw, starting offensive tackle Derrick Graham, safeties Dasheen Jackson, Chris Rodgers and Darrell Starling, punter Elliot Jannish, kicker Zach Long, offensive linemen Kobe Williams and Jeremiah Frazier, linebacker Black Matthews and defensive tackle Jackson Stein. 247Sports also reports that All-Sun Belt defensive lineman TJ Jackson intends to enter the transfer portal but has yet to announce that decision.  

Troy’s all-time leading rusher Kimani Vidal also announced his decision to enter the NFL Draft, while the nation’s sack leader Javon Solomon will also forgo his final year of eligibility to enter the draft. Dothan native AJ Pierce also announced he would be entering the draft this April, as well.
