The Brundidge Police Department teamed up with Dollar General for its Toy Drive 2023.

Chief Sam Green said every child should have something under the tree on Christmas morning, so he organized a toy drive to help local children.

“Christmastime is about giving and caring for your fellow man,” Green said. “The way that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ cares for all of us. I was very pleased with the turnout from the community for Toy Drive 2023.”

Leanne Helms, assistant manager at Dollar General, said she was happy Dollar General was able to team up with the Brundidge Police Department to make the toy drive a success.

Helms said she agreed every child should have a gift under the Christmas tree and also wanted to wish everyone  a  merry Christmas and happy New Year.
