Pike Piddlers’ storytellers announced

Tickets for the 2024 Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival at We Piddle Around Theater in Brundidge and the Trojan Center Theater, Troy University, the last weekend in January are now available for last minute shopping.

Lawrence Bowden, president of the sponsoring Brundidge Historical Society, said the lineup of nationally acclaimed storytellers has now been finalized.

Donald Davis, the Dean of Storytelling, is back by popular demand as is Appalachian storyteller, singer and guitar player Michael Reno Harrell. Story performer Dolores Hydock is well-known and appreciated for “Stubby Pringle’s Merry Christmas” and “The Audrey Williams Story.” Completing the storytelling lineup is newcomer to the Pike Piddlers, the Rev. Robert Jones, inspiring storyteller, singer and instrumentalist who celebrates the history of American Roots music.

The Friday night supper and stories at the We Piddle Around Theater is sold as a dinner package for $30. The Saturday storytelling concerts at the Troy Center Theater on the Troy university campus are 10 a.m. $10; 2 p.m. $15; and 6:30, p.m.  $10. All-day Saturday storytelling concerts are $10.

Preshow music begins 30 minutes before each storytelling concert.
