Zion Chapel is the only team in The Messenger’s coverage area that landed on a Top 10. LaFayette comes in at No. 1 in Class 2A, followed by Decatur Heritage, Collinsville, GW Long, Red Bay, Zion Chapel, Pisgah, Mars Hill Bible, Central-Coosa and Tanner. Charles Henderson did earn votes in Class 5A but did not crack the Top 10. While the Trojans started the season 0-2, they won four consecutive games – including taking the Dothan Turkey Classic – after the players from the football team joined the roster.
