Just hours after Kimani Vidal earned AP All-American honors, Troy defensive end Javon Solomon was named an Action Network All-American, as well.

Solomon, who leads the entire country in sacks this season, was named Second-Team All-American by the Action Network, his second career All-American honor. Solomon, who officially moved from bandit to defensive end this season, has been a menace in opposing teams’ backfields with 52 tackles, 17.5 tackles-for-loss, 16 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

Earlier this season, he tied the Troy single-game sack record with four sacks in a game and is also tied for third in Troy history in sacks in a season. His 33 career sacks also ranks second in school history and second in Sun Belt Conference history. His 49 career tackles-for-loss also ranks third in Sun Belt history.
