The Friends of the Tupper Lightfoot Memorial Library in Brundidge will host a Sweet Shop during the library’s Christmas program on Saturday.

Theresa Trawick, library director, said the Sweet Shop is a fundraiser for Friends of the Library.

“All those who like sweet treats are encouraged to visit the library’s Sweet Shop on Saturday and buy sweet treats and also support Friends of the Library in support of “Tupper.”
Trawick said “Tupper” will greatly appreciate the support of the city’s library through contributions to the Sweet Shop.

Those who can contribute ‘goodies’ including cupcakes, fudge, brownies and other sweet treats are asked to please have them at the library any time before 9 a.m. on Saturday, Trawick said.

And, just for the kids, Garneshia Lampley, children’s services coordinator, said a host of activities have been planned for the children during Christmas Candyland at Tupper.

‘We’ll have Storytime, a Gumdrop House Building Station, Letters to Santa Station, and a Candyland Station, Lampley said. “There will be opportunities for selfies with the Gingerbread Man and Friends of the Library will have a Sweet Shop for patrons and guests to make purchases.”

All other activities and snacks will be free as long as they are available.

The Sweet Shop and Christmas at Candyland will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m.
