A new business coming to town is always exciting.

And, it was especially exciting Wednesday when Coast & Creek opened its doors in downtown Brundidge.

For the first time in a long time, Brundidge has a women’s clothing store with fashions for the times. Coast & Creek is owned and operated by Robin Stinson, who has hometown roots and who makes her home in town.

The grand opening for Coast & Creek attracted women of all ages and, perhaps, a surprising number of men who expressed appreciation that they can now do their special occasion shopping at home.

“We would like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone that came out to help make our grand opening a success,” Stinson said. “It was awesome. We were busy all day. It was exciting to see the interest and the enthusiasm about having a shop opening in town. Brundidge is small but with a big sense of community. We are so excited to be a part of it.”

Stinson said Coast & Creek offers a home-grown clothing line representing Southerners’ love of water, “from the Southern creeks to the sandy beaches.

“Coast & Creek brings together the best of both worlds,” she said.

From the line of clothing to the jewelry to the assortment of other items for the body and home, Coast & Creek is true to its coast and creek theme.

The shop’s Coast & Creek trademark brand T-shirts are designed by noted graphic artist, John Denny of Duck Stamp fame. They feature all things Coast & Creek from hog hunting to deep sea fishing.

In addition to its own brand, the shop features nationally acclaimed clothing brands for women including Umgee, Array, Givio, Bombom and Doe and Rae. The shop has clothing for all sizes and for all seasons.

Sorrelli fashion jewelry is the featured jewelry at Coast & Creek.

“Sorrelli jewelry has a lifetime warranty and, for those who have jewelry that is in need of repair, we will send it off for repair free of charge,” Stinson said. “We also have costume jewelry.”

Coast and Creek has goat milk soaps, body sprays, lotions and candles from the Boll Weevil Soap Company in Enterprise. The shop’s gift section features rustic-themed items.

For those who would rather tan inside than bake in the sun, Coast & Creek has tanning and bronzing beds.

Stinson and Brenda Black invite everyone to visit Coast & Creek in downtown Brundidge.

The shop is located on South Main street next to First National Bank.

The Coast & Creek hours are from 9:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
